A perfect day for gardening!

The sun came out and we set about planting all of our delicate seedlings in their plots at the allotment. It's a good job we had learnt about measuring and area and perimeter this week. We used our skills to make sure our plants had enough room to grow.

Upon arriving, we had a wonderful surprise waiting for us in the poly tunnel. Our allotment neighbours had generously donated some tomato, marrow and pumpkin plants! Wow, thank you very much.

Planting out the pumpkin plants, they are going to be huge!

Looking after our beans and peas

Preparing our raised beds for the carrots.

Watering the tomato and cucumber plants in the poly tunnel.

We were all very busy today.

We can't wait to go back next week. We will be making our plant labels next week at school. It is important to label the plants so that we know what they are and how to care for them.
