We have been using our imaginations to create a new fruit or vegetable by mixing our favourite ones together. We were inspired to do this when thinking about organic and non organic vegetables and the way they taste. We also heard about farmers mixing different vegetables together to make new food hybrids like;
Pluot = plum + apricot
Grapple. = grape and apple
Lemato = tomato + lemon
Boysenberry = blackberry + loganberry + raspberry
Here are our ideas! Why don't you post some of yours?
My fruit is called polit. When you bite into it, it is really soft. The colour of the fruit is purple. It is a bit like a carrot, but it is bumpy. You can take the skin off, but be careful. It has a stem on the top of it and some leaves. The stem is hard to take off. The leaves are very delicate.

My fruit is called a Plango. It feels like a smooth rock. When you bite into it will be sour. The colour will be green then it goes red. It is huge. It does not have leaves, but grows on a bush. The bush has loads of sticks and no leaves. The sticks are black and bumpy and long. The fruit looks like a circle.

My fruit is called a gretchle, because it is a grape like apple and tastes like ketchup. It is grown on a tree called the grinch tree. It feels like a peach and smells like kiwi ice cream. It has a surprise in the middle.

My flower is called the Rainbow flower with orange - chocolate zests in, and the flower is edible and is very common. The only part that you may eat is the petals, and as you pick the petals, they turn brighter and brighter as you touch it. My flower first feels like a a lettuces leaves, but then it feels like a hard watermelon the more you feel it. The colours include ruby red, beautiful blue, amazing apricot - orange, sunflower yellow like sunshine, perfect pink, great green, dark sea - like blue and paper white. Like a rainbow! You can also buy them at the supermarket, for £2.50. Abbie.

I would like to buy a whole crate of these! :)
