Quad blog - Koru9 Challenge

Hi

On Thursday we looked in our lunch boxes to find out how much waste we produce every day! It was a lot, most people had around 4 wrappers in their lunch. We talked about the fact that most of this waste goes to land fill. The landfill site near Lincoln is very full, even though our city is good at recycling!   To help us complete your challenge of reducing the waste in our lunch boxes, we talked about having more fruit, and wrapping things that had to be in paper, so at least it can then be recycled!

Have a look at the photos of our lunch, did your lunch boxes look similar? How are you getting on with your challenge? Is it as easy as you thought to produce zero waste?

We are on our half term break for the next week, but look forward to seeing what you have discovered when we get back. :)

  1. Wow, that is a big challenge to have zero waste in a lunch box. I can't wait to see the ideas the children came up with.
